COVID-19 – Status Update for Expatriates

Canadians travelling outside the country without provincial medical:

• HCC Atlas — Will cover COVID-19 (can't purchase from within Canada, Australia or the United States of NY, MD or WA).
• Allianz — Does not cover COVID-19. The policy can be purchased outside of Canada but requires a waiver allowing travellers to remain outside Canada beyond the recommended travel period.
• IA HMC — COVID-19 coverage available as an add for 10% extra, must be purchased from Canada and has an automatic US$500 deductible.
