Administrative (and Digital Marketing) Assistant - October 2022 & January 2022

BestQuote is rapidly growing its web-based insurance brokerage specializing in travel, accident and sickness insurance.  Through our online quote engine, we help clients locate insurance policies that provide the best coverage at the best cost.  We offer flexible working conditions, a fast-paced but casual working environment and the ability to work from home occasionally.

Current Opportunities

We have an opening starting October 2022 for an full-time administrative/(and digital marketing) assistant with previous experience an obvious consideration but not necessary. We are seeking an energetic and detail oriented individual who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment in our Vancouver office. After completing a training program, daily tasks include data entry, email correspondence, and supporting our agent team in dealing with client workflow. Duration: 2 years - permanent (immigration sponsorship available after three month probationary period if not yet PR). We will be hiring a second, similar position in January-March, 2023.

Required

  • Minimum 2 years College/University – preferably with diploma/degree;
  • Prior experience in an office setting an asset;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including fluent English;
  • High energy, positive attitude and team player;
  • Good English writing skills;
  • Ability to take direction, but act with initiative and self motivate to meet deadlines and responsibilities;
  • Solid organizational ability and an attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications, word processing and spreadsheet software..
  • Previous Digital Marketing/Content Creation experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative tasks such as processing early return refunds, cancellations, policy date changes;
  • Validate monthly commission statements from suppliers;
  • Follow-up with clients to obtain missing application/refund information;
  • Answer client calls and redirect to office agents during heavy call volumes;
  • Sending basic email marketing communication to website users;
  • SEO, Content Marketing/ Social Media Marketing depending on experience;
  • Complete various tasks associated with the operation of our day-to-day business.

Hours

40 hours per week.

Location

200 block West Broadway (and Cambie) Street,  Vancouver, BC (work from home opportunities after training).

Wages

$25-$27/hr, depending on experience.  Additional $5,000 - $12,000 per annum in team-based monthly incentives after three month probationary period.
