Insurance Agent — Travel Insurance


BestQuote is rapidly growing its web-based insurance brokerage specializing in travel, accident and sickness insurance.  Through our online quote engine, we help clients locate insurance policies that provide the best coverage at the best cost.  We offer flexible working conditions, a relaxed working environment and the ability to work from home occasionally.

Current Opportunity

We have an opening for an insurance agent with previous Canadian insurance industry experience, or experience as a travel agent.


  • One or more years of experience working in insurance sales, customer service or administration; or as a travel agent licensed to sell insurance.
  • LLQP life and/or accident & sickness insurance license, or ability to write exam and become licensed upon hiring
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good English writing skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Solid organizational ability and an attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Sales experience, especially in insurance or financial services, is an asset
  • Good computer skills.  Solid knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.  Experience using database software.
  • Foreign language ability would be an asset.


  • Answer client telephone inquires about various insurance products
  • Engage with clients via online chat and email
  • Process orders and update client accounts
  • Follow up with clients by phone
  • Insurance administrative duties
  • Assist with marketing & sales


4-8 hours per day, Monday to Sunday, 6 am to 10 pm.  This could be either a full or part-time position, depending on the candidate.


Vancouver (East Hastings & Slocan) or anywhere in Quebec (working from home office).

Starting Wage

$23-$26/hr, depending on experience.  Opportunity for regular raises.
